Q1. Tell about the work function of LA
Ans. LA has the metal oxide varistor discs inside it.At the standard system voltage it acts as insulator & doesn't allow current to pass through it.But in case of high voltage surges,it acts as conductor and allows the high current to pass through it.As LA are earthed.So the current is earthed and expensive electricals are saved from damage.
