I applied via Naukri.com and was interviewed before Oct 2022. There were 3 interview rounds.
The first round was with the consultancy manager and they screened my resume and felt it is good match for the role. The second round was taken by the Project Manager of LinkedIn and 3rd round from the assigned team's manager. Both the last two rounds included cases studies, Questions on the resume and previous experiences and the decision making on the situations.
There were few questions from my end to the interviewer on the 3rd round for which the interviewer(she) got irritated and asked me to check on the JD, the question was in relate to know the products of LinkedIn whereas the the details in related to the products of LinkedIn was not mentioned. Only the role and responsibilities were stated.
However she even escalated this to the consultancy. I felt the interviewer is so immature and impatient in handling situations and was skeptical of her handling the team and eventually it proved right.
She made me feel very degraded being a Contract role employee, even a small mistakes and even misunderstandings were notified to the consultancy and was been escalated. It clearly showed that there is lack of leadership qualities and taken for granted attitude. (The team is "Outsourcing and Strategy")
I wish no one should no face such situations and get departed for silly reasons, Everyone has their commitments, responsibilities and duties which will affected deeply in the midway.
Nonetheless every employee irrespective of Permanent or Contractual deserves respect, motivation and a good words from his/her hierarchy rather pointing out, escalations will take no where.
I was surprised that LinkedIn has such attitude issues with contract role employees (Some managers).
However, I wish whoever applying to any roles in LinkedIn do get a good manager at the first place and the rest all falls in its place eventually. All the best...!!!
