The Test was easy , quantitative ability was quite difficult but overall test was easy.
Current is the flow of electric charge, voltage is the electric potential difference, power is the rate at which work is done, and resistance is the opposition to the flow of electric current.
Current is measured in amperes (A)
Voltage is measured in volts (V)
Power is measured in watts (W)
Resistance is measured in ohms (Ω)
Ohm's law relates these concepts: V = IR, where V is voltage, I is current, and R is resistance
Power system is a network of electrical components used to transmit, distribute and generate electricity.
Power system includes generators, transformers, transmission lines, distribution lines, and loads.
It is responsible for delivering electricity from power plants to homes and businesses.
Power system engineers design, operate and maintain the system to ensure reliability and efficiency.
Examples of power systems includ...
Rectifier converts AC to DC, transformer changes voltage level, chopper controls DC voltage.
Rectifier is an electronic device that converts AC to DC.
Transformer is a device that changes voltage level of AC power.
Chopper is an electronic device that controls DC voltage by switching it on and off.
Rectifiers are used in power supplies, battery chargers, and welding machines.
Transformers are used in power distribution syst...
Power losses in power system refer to the energy lost in the transmission and distribution of electricity.
Power losses occur due to resistance in transmission lines, transformers, and other equipment.
These losses result in a decrease in voltage and an increase in current, leading to heat dissipation.
Power losses can be minimized by using high voltage transmission lines, efficient transformers, and proper maintenance.

A single line diagram is a simplified representation of a power system.
A single line diagram shows the electrical components of a power system in a simplified manner.
It is used to understand the flow of power and to identify potential problems.
It includes generators, transformers, transmission lines, distribution lines, and loads.
Each component is represented by a symbol and connected by lines to show the flow of power...
Voltage compensation at load centre
Voltage drop occurs in the distribution system due to the resistance of the conductors
Voltage compensation is done to maintain the voltage level at the load center
Methods of voltage compensation include tap changing transformers, voltage regulators, and shunt capacitors
To increase voltage for running tubewell when voltage is low, use a voltage booster or stabilizer.
Use a voltage booster or stabilizer to increase voltage
Check for any loose connections or damaged wires
Ensure the tubewell motor is not overloaded
Consider installing a capacitor bank to improve power factor
Consult with an electrician if necessary
