Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Many times Environment of the Office Cabin make us Comfortable as happened in my Case. my interview at Hindustan Coca-Cola Pvt. Ltd Jaipur happened at Vishwakarma Industrial Area premises in GM cabin where Finance Manager was calling us one by one and he was not seated on the Main Office Chair but took a Plastic Chair as i was seated and place it to near GM's Office Chair so i was a little bit uncomfortable of this seating position as i though he is no officer grade person just have been sat to make a fun of us. i was thinking in my heart but i was wrong i was the very first person who was selected by the Finance Manager and he told me this thing indirectly that he has selected me on a very first attempt might because of my Tuxedo that i was wearing on that interview session or might be because of my persona that i use to carry when i was almost 22. so we could or we won't have a outer persona but what we must have is our Confidence. never betray your Confidence and you will par the value.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: Initial shortlisting was done on the basis of resume.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: There was a group discussion based on the general pattern.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: My subjects, knowledge, skills were tested very less compared to the others. It all depends on the direction you wanted to drive your interview in. I focused on my projects and junkyard wars to show my technical skills and
immediately steered into the profile they were offering which is managerial profile which included sales, marketing and operation together. Having prepared for other FMCG companies earlier, I spoke about operation with ease and this was my selling point. I brushed up on marketing and spoke about sustainability and green technology campaigns the company was working on.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: There was no specific HR round. Few questions about the place I live, languages , etc.
Tips: They were looking for people with an all-round personality. They let me drive the interview in the direction I wanted. It was more of a conversation than a question-answer session for me

General Tips: I started in August. I was preparing for CAT in parallel too. Start core prep early because there is very little time towards the end. Do not prepare for every company that exists. Prioritize the companies depending on your interests. Prepare well for these companies.
Skill Tips: I prepared mainly by aiming at FMCG companies. Industrial engineering brush up. Projects/Interns/HR questions are very important. You never know when a core ques turns up, so brushed up courses.

I think I got selected because I spoke at length on how I was perfectly suited for the profile they were offering. I showed examples for each of operations, sales and marketing. Enthusiasm about the company, knowing more about the company and its activities helped me. I put fight for FMCG's and core companies mostly. I was thorough with Industrial Engineering minor. I knew in and out about what was written in the resume. Brushing up core courses is a must.
