Why people on Notice periods start acting like dumbs?

Have observed from last 2-3 months as lot of people are leaving the company. After going on the notice period they start behaving very different and behaves like they don't know how this particular functionality works They stops thinking Just want to get the tasks delegated so someone else can do this. Start asking questions which they already know answer of. Isn't this shitty? I understand they are on notice so they can allocate half time for work, but in that half time people are also looking for shortcuts.

I have 8+ Exp. I have to chose between Virtusa and Accenture depending on below details: Accenture Fixed CTC = 27.5 LPA + 27% Variable Pay Virtusa Fixed CTC = 24 LPA + 10% Variable Pay which is 100% payable every six months = 27.4 LPA (Total) Virtusa is saying Client may absorb after 6 months and may give depending on the market standards. If my CTC is lower than Clients standard CTC then only i will get hike. Accenture Designation = Associate Manager Virtusa Designation = Sr Lead Engineer Looking for a long term stay

Notice period negotiation

I resigned from my current company a couple of days ago. I have a 90 day notice period. I tried to negotiate it with my manager of the current company, asking to release early as the new company has early requirements and also on a medical ground basis, but my manager is not agreeing. I tried to talk with the HR of my current company. HR is ready to give the "buy out" option and I am also ok with it. But for the "buy out" to happen, HR needs something officially written from my manager that I do not have any dependency on the project. But my manager is not giving it officially. Feels like they are trying to keep me in loops and waste my time. I really do not have dependency on the project. What shall I do? I need to leave early to join the other company as they are offering quite well. Please suggest to me how I should get my notice period reduced?

My First Company Switch

Hello people, I am making my first company switch. I have cleared the interviews of the new company and got the confirmation of the offer (verbally). The offer letter is yet to be received. I have a couple of questions, please let me know how these things work: 1.I need to resign my current company only after receiving the offer letter. Is that correct? And the new company will send the joining letter couple of days before joining. Correct? 2.Do I need to inform my team or my manager before filling the resignation letter on my current company's web portal? Or do I just fill the resignation form and let them know on their own? 3. Any important documents that I need to collect before leaving my current company? These questions might seem basic, but I am a novice.

We know that just finishing engineering is not sufficient for jobs because we don't have specialised skills. When it comes to skilling, it has become normal to join a course or institute after graduation to acquire skills and learn. I would say actual learning begins in this phase. Well, my concern is that - I am a Cloud aspirant ( fresher ) and would like to explore the possibilities and opportunities in this domain. I recently had a conversation with my friend's brother, who is working. He said that -"Cloud is everywhere. If you focus on computing services like EC2, lambda, and VPC it's an infrastructure based that ends up in DevOps, when you focus on storage services like S3, and others along with some other tools and knowledge like SQL, Python, you end up in Data engineering or Data Analyst." So, my question is which are the other options that are not in light and market demands? So, that it helps me in choosing the course.
