Experience: Verbal English: 1-5 fill the blanks with appropriate word, 6-10 correction of sentences & 11-15 paragraph questions. 
Reasoning : 25-30 syllogisms, 31-35 venn diagam questions, 36-40 6 sentences were given.  
Quatitative: 41-75 data sufficency 10 questions on basic maths.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Technical & HR interview happened for 40min Technical question : He ask me about the protection,hvdc , realtime grid,changing of frequency from one grid to other protection of transformers,substation equipment. Mainly the questions were concentrated on industrial training.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: It was good day when i attended the interview . I have prepared my mind & view on the questions to answer in a right manner & appropriate.

General Tips: Be cool when you are answering in interview . Be confident keep smiling face . Don't worry about written test, its very easy. Before going to exam look previous questions in some web sites.

Experience: Quantitative = Questions based on Profit & Loss, Ages, Time & Work, Basic Mathematics, Discounts, etc. (25 Questions). Reasoning / Analytical = Questions based on Basic Reasoning, Picture Sequence Completion, Puzzles, etc. (25 Questions). Verbal English = Questions based on Analogies, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Meanings of Words, Reading Comprehension, etc (25 Questions)

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Questions based on Basic Electrical Engineering, Subjects studied in B.Tech. and M.Tech. (Power Systems, Electrical Machines, HVDC & FACTS, Advanced topics in Power Systems, Artificial Intelligence Techniques in Power Systems, Power System Deregulation, etc) Other questions included Details of B.Tech. Project, Potential M.Tech. project ideas, Desired line of work and reason of choice, Plans for further studies (Ph.D.) and in which area, etc.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Questions based on Educational Background, Family Background (Qualifications and Professions), Interests and Hobbies, Reason for choosing M.Tech. over M.Sc. (in USA) or MBA, Current affairs, etc. Total Duration of Personal Interview (Technical + HR) = 50 minutes (close to one hour)

Skill Tips: The entire selection process was conducted in a professional and efficient manner. The PPT (Pre-Placement Talk) was very informative in providing the students with the requisite information pertaining to the training details, domains of work, salary, locations of placement, etc. The questions in the written test were of a high standard that truly tested the analytical capabilities of the students. The results of the same were declared in a duration and manner which gave the short-listed candidates enough time to recuperate and prepare for the personal interview the following day. The interview itself was an experience. Very basic questions along with real-life implementations and scenarios were posed to the candidates that served as a true test of their technical competence. The atmosphere however was of a relaxed and open nature. The team of L&T (HR personnel, Interview panel members, etc.) was very friendly and they patiently answered all the queries of the students regarding every aspect of L&T.

Experience: There were 25 questions in each section and the time was 1hr. Questions regarding reasoning,passages,ages, pictorial similarities, and some simple mathematics were given.
Duration: 60 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: As I am from PED they asked me questions on converters , inverters, supply side harmonics in rectifier fed inverters,
brake chopper uses, v/f control, vector control of induction motor and difference between the two. They asked about electric traction and the projects I have done.

Skill Tips: The panel members were cool. They were looking for persons with good knowledge in converters and drives. For some questions i said i don't know as i was not confident. Persons with relevant experience have advantage. Be confident. Try to project what you are. go through the projects you have done thoroughly. Read converters and drives thoroughly.

Experience: General English, Synonyms, Antonyms, Usage of articles, Passage reading. reasoning, simple maths , situational analysis were part of the test paper.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Asked about PROJECT WORK done in Btech, About Industrial training , Bending Moment and shear force diagrams for a small basic structure, pressure heads , difference between concrete and bituminous pavements, Grading of concrete.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Asked about family Background, position in class (Btech, Mtech), Achievements if any.

General Tips: Be strong in fundamentals of the subject and any answer that you tell must be told confidently without any fear if the answer you know it is correct.
Skill Tips: The basics in the subject were checked in technical interview and in the written test basic English and arithmetical abilities were tested to know about our proficiency in English.

Experience: 1. In verbal English we are tested on our general grammar skills by fill in the blanks etc. not too tough. 
We are also given comprehension passages which are very time taking 
2. In aptitude test, questions are posed on the general maths and quantitative aptitude. 
3. In reasoning test questions are a bit time taking and lengthy.
Duration: 60 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: In this round I was first asked about my family and academic background. Then slowly starting from basics, about the bending moment and shear force diagrams of a cantilever beam with UDL on it. Then going deeper into the code book details i was asked about the densities and other details of concrete,steel.after that the questions were mainly on the rcc code 456 about mini. % of steel in columns used and the critical shear sections etc. Then I was asked about the training that i under went in the internship program and many questions where posed on it. Then m.tech range questions from structural dynamics and earthquake resistant structures were asked.

General Tips: My suggestion is to be strong in basics first and then go on further. Be confident in the interview. Try to study the brain of the interviewer and the answer accordingly.
Skill Tips: Interview went on good,in a comfortable and confident way.There was only on person interviewing and so I could make myself comfortable with him.

Experience: In the technical interview the basic knowledge in civil engineering was checked and Bending moment and shear force
diagrams for a basic structure were asked and A Slab for a sump is to be laid of size 3m X 2m, for which there are two alternatives of laying slabs i.e two slabs of 1m X 3m each and three Slabs of 1m X 2m each and the best alternative was to lay three slabs of 1m X 3m so that the depth of slab can be reduced. Why the cross section of a chimney is increased from top to bottom. Typical reinforcement detailing for Structural Members and normal percentage of reinforcement adopted for different types of structures, Analysis of structures.The details about the project work that u have done in your Btech,Dip.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: In the Personal Interview the details about the family background were asked .

Skill Tips: Your Basic knowledge in subject and the communicating abilities are the most important things that were checked and the answering style was also checked whether what you are answering is answered confidently or not. and whether u are able to choose a best alternative if some of the alternatives are given. Be perfect in basics and be touch with all the subjects that u have studied irrespective of the subject that you are the most interested in. CGPA is not of a big matter if u have the subject in you and perform well in the interview but it is better to have good CGPA.

Experience: Quantitative was basic concepts like ratios, profit and loss, geometry, analytical was also involved in quantitative. English was general words few were frequently used GRE words.

Experience: Subject of interest was asked. General practical knowledge questions were asked. Questions on project work were given more importance.

Skill Tips: The aptitude test was easy. The company has many fields,so its a good option to explore and learn. the work profile offered was good. I was told by the interviewer that you are given chance to experiment and see all the fields and can go for another if its your call. Be sure of exactly what you want from the company and why you want the company. Be thorough with the basics and very sure about your project and it need not be a very high standard work. Its all about your interest and enthusiasm to do something other than the college work.

Experience: Maths was easy from R.S.Aggarwal, the analytical was the toughest among the 3 but not so tough.
Tips: The important chapters like time and work, time and distance, trains, percentages, sets, data interpretations.. english had antonyms, reading comprehensions, sentence completions only one or two words were unknown. Practice questions from R.S.Aggarwal. Verbal. That is a must.
Duration: 60 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The tech interview was for one hour and ten minutes but i was asked very basic fundas. no high funda questions. project was asked. then i was questions like Bernoulli equations, prove it on the water bottle kept it on the table, some questions on ideal gas law, heat transfer questions, difference between combustion and oxidation general stuff ,it was simple. But students from mechanical and other branches were asked proper tech stuff.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: There was no hr interview as such but i was asked more HR in the interview. I was asked why do you want LnT, LnT pays low so why will u continue here. Where do you see yourself after 3 years? What are the qualities of a project manager?, will you fight for your rights etc.

Skill Tips: I would say it was a nice experience and gave me actual feel of a campus interview. For people who are looking for a hard core technical job i would say from my internship experience that this is an amazing
place to begin with even though the salary is low.

Experience: Questions were from number system, probablity , common analytical reasoning questions, some questions from vocabulary.
Duration: 150 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: There was only one round of PI which was completely technical. the following were some of the questions :
1. questions from stress strain diagram of steels 
2. FeFe3C diagram 
3. fatigue and creep 
4. TTT diagram make sure you have an answer to your favorite subject.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: There was nothing like HR other than the basic question.

General Tips: LnT is the first company that visits NITW campus.there are quite a number of applicants, to crack this company you have to brush up your technical fundamentals.
Skill Tips: It was an hour of full technical grind.
