Round: Group Activity
Experience: A creative round where we were supposed to address atleast 1 of the 18 sustainable development goal as described by UNESCO and develop a model using the material provided by them

Round: HR Interview
Experience: They were quite frank and friendly with the line of questioning. We shared a few laughs and asked me what name has my class given me and why to start with. Then coming to the hobbies. The room had a very positive and light atmosphere.
Tips: Be honest and creative, it is a casual round they ask students to be open and frank with the answers

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Since I have mentioned in my resume that I had my own startups and also about the various prizes won for acting The line of questioning was more inclined towards the learning and technical implementation I've used or can adopt there to make those projects give better results

Round: Problem Statement
Experience: The product I chose was smartphones and I re-engineered it to develop a smartphone for blinds which would interact with them using the sense of touch. It will be show updates in braille and the bind person can read the updates using he sense of touch.

Experience: They had given a certain number of career based questions and asked us to write our reviews on it!!!
Tips: Be prepared of about yourself!!! Try to use good vocabulary in a soothing and cache way!!!

Experience: They asked us to take one of the sustainable problems we have and to come up with a solution!!! And this to be done by the entire group by using the materials given!!!
Tips: Communication, confidence and creativity is important!!!

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: Our resumes were analysed and people were shortlisted based on our shortlists
Tips: Resume shortlist was mostly based on our CGPA and our projects

Round: Test
Experience: 25 mcq questions were from chemical engineering and 25 mcq were from aptitude section. From chemical engineering section, most of the questions were from mass transfer followed by heat transfer, CRE, thermodynamics. From aptitude section most questions were time and selling price related.
Tips: For technical section, the focus should be more on the mass transfer and heat transfer. For aptitude section, the accuracy along with time management is very important. Aptitude is given more weightage than the chemical related questions.
Duration: 1 hour
Total Questions: 50

Experience: The technical round was basics from the first year like thermodynamics, semiconductors and chemistry etc. a galnce through the old topics should suffice. Also basics from Civil Engineering were also tested

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: This happened in Chennai at the Saint Gobain Head Office. We had our interviews with the MD. I had to derive the moment inertia of a circular disc about all axes. Also i was asked to estimate the height of the room without the healp of a measurement device.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The test was on amcat platform where you can not skip the question and you have to attempt each and every question.the key thing here is accuracy specially in first two section coz in retail banking and econometric will be new for everyone.I am from Industrial Engg and Management(M.tech) so we have some basic idea of Econometrics.
Tips: Maintain the accuracy and try to give few hours in studying the basic of Retail Banking and Econometric, coz these are the two section where u can take the lead. and never forget that this is the mass rejection process

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: Follow the basic rule of GD and try to give valid example with your point.
Tips: Read the Newspaper and be aware of what is happening around.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: my interview was around 35-40 minutes process in which they as the technical part from my resume
Tips: just be confident and they will try to stress you out.so be calm and compose and try to understand the question properly before start giving your answer
they expect the logic how you attempt the question


Round: HR Interview
Experience: be ready for the puzzles
Tips: The process is going to be time talking so be ready to wait, and dont sound low in the interview coz this is the day u are waiting for your entire life.

Round: Test
Experience: The first section tested basic aptitude mainly logic and interpretation. It tests your timing and approach to solve a question.
The second consisted of Data Interpretation mainly pie charts and tables having data around bank deposits and dues. This section has enough time but can sometimes turn out tricky.
Now comes Economics. I had no idea prior to the test that this would be asked. So literally knew nothing beforehand. But questions can be answered if given a little thought into it. Most of them are from our personal experiences of banking excluding a select few which needs in depth knowledge of finance.
Tips: Just be patient and try and answer all questions. After all there is nothing to lose because no negative. I was kinda confident because the first two sections went pretty well. Don't think they gave much weight-age for the Economics section.
Duration: 60 minutes

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: Shortlist after the first round was announced at night. So group discussion and interviews followed the next day. Always been not a fan of group discussions. This time around I tried to keep in pace with the current affairs and most likely topics.
In my panel there were 10 members. It started well, I managed to chip in with a few valid points. Remember the key here is to be different and mention points that can carry the gd forward.
Tips: Make sure you are audible and straight to the point. People are waiting to barge in and speak, so any small pause might rip you off your chance.
Duration: 20 minutes
