Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: This process took in my campus and the experience I'm going to share corresponds to the STAR Hiring program that take engineers in a software oriented domain from few IIT's at CTC : 9 LPA + Incentives.

The questions in both the sections were quite simple. If your a CAT Aspirant you'll easily walk through it. Still if you're not little brush up will do it. There might or might be negative marking.

The programming section is very basic, like:
Prime numbers from 1 to 100 having a difference of 4 between two consecutives.
Odd factors of all numbers from 1 to 100.
Even Armstrong numbers between 1-100.
String reverse. Like that..
Tips: Speed, Time complexity of your code, Logical Reasoning.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: To put it bluntly.
1. Know your Resume. For starters, it'll be like to tell him about yourself kind of stuff. Then he will get details of your Resume.
2. Be aware of the latest happenings & technologies in IT services.
3. Try to relate your Projects to the profile your applying for, like to coding software, Big Data analysis and HDFS framework.
4. Be ENERGETIC. Look LIVELY.
5. Study in detail about OOPs Concepts in JAVA (their properties Encap,Inherit,Poly,Abstra), connect them with real life objects.
5. Try to use one-liners with emphasis on heavy words.
6. Wait and ponder over before you answer.
7. Do not forget to ask questions in the end. Like,
"What do you like the best about WIPRO?"
"What will be the training process be like, if I'm selected?" likewise.
Tips: Be confident. Be Energetic. Interact with him. Keep your hands on the table. Sit comfortably, don't lean too much.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: General questions. Reseach the company before hand, so that you can relate your work, your passion with the objective of the company, ie. a coder who knows a lil about market, has got good grades, and is aware of latest innovations. Interact with him using your hands.
Tips: Don't mug up things. Jot down the imp points in a dairy and read it before the HR round.

Skill Tips: If your from circuital branch, there will be questions from Data structures, Linked Lists, Stacks, Machine learning etc.
Skills: Latest Technologies, Communication, Apptitude, Basic Coding, Java Programming

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The test was of moderate level, the coding question was easy if all the boundary questions were properly considered.
Tips: 1. Practice questions on Geekquiz.
2. Practice coding problems. There are various websites like HackerRank, HackerEarth etc. which have a lot of coding problems.
Duration: 90 minutes
Total Questions: 22

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The interviewer was friendly and he was interested in the implementation first and then the code.
Tips: Be thorough with various implementations and why they are in practice. Try to know the logic behind each implementation.

Round: Puzzle Interview
Experience: The interviewer was looking for a person interested in problem solving. He was looking forward for loud thinking.
Tips: If you don't know any answer, don't lose your cool. It is never necessary to answer all the questions in an interview. Be confident and think loud, so that if you are going the wrong way, the interviewer can assist you.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: This was the last round and just for formality. The interviewers were looking for a person who would fit in their working culture.
Tips: Be confident and always have a smile on your face. If you are selected for the HR interview, then there is a 90% chance that you would be selected.

General Tips: Be confident, think loudly, never panic and have a smile to your face always. You have already prepared hard for the recruitment process, it is just the confidence that matters. Don't lose hope, there are many opportunities for you.

Funny Moments: The HR interview was more of a friendly talk and i shared my hobbies which led to a longer discussion.

Experience: The interviewer was assessing my communication skills as well as problem solving skills. The interview took 1 hr.
Tips: Stay calm and confident, learn basics of MySQL and atleast

General Tips: Stay cool and confident . If you dont know how to code a given problem , try to explain an algorithm . That should do.

Round: Behavioural Interview
Experience: 1.It was cool, friendly and to the point. He was trying to understand, where I was coming from and if there is a fit both culturally and skill wise.
2.Was given two case studies and was asked to present solutions in the next round.
Tips: 1. Keep it straight
2.Be confident and encourage the interviewer to barge in between if he wants to
3.Get to know the role in and out by asking questions.

Round: Guesstimate Interview
Experience: 1. Allowed me to take my time to figure out the right path.
2. Bring your thoughts aloud, this might help you get in right direction, in case you are going wrong.
Tips: Try to choose a way in which you are confident.
Better, if you do not quote random stuff

Round: HR Interview
Experience: So it started with the question mentioned above to which my answer was that even after doing internship in companies like GS they have already been rejected in first two test rounds. For my answer to the second question I would definitely like to thank batman as the reply was "You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become a villain."
