Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: Two rounds of GD. (30 minutes)"Morality is the creation of the weak to suppress the strong"More of an argument/debate with 2 groups. They want you to argue and point out why they should prefer one group over the other. They look for people with good communication skills, articulate effectively and drive home your points, how you analyze a situation, spontaneity etc.

Round: Interview
Experience: One HR interview: (10-15 minutes)They might ask for details regarding your projects, if they are relevant to the profileThe interview was more of a formality than a selection round. They give more weightage to the GD
Tips: LAN has a plethora of books on prep for interviews. Be prepared for common questions.Every non-core company asks more or less the same questionsThey also test your basic coding skills (C, MATLAB)Try to revise some basic core courses. Also go through some interview preparation books available on LAN. You can also look up on net for most commonly asked questions while recruiting by any particular company

General Tips: In case you haven't set your eyes on any of the day1-2 companies, or any other core companies in particular, be warned: Programming skills are a must. It‟s quite frustrating to see that almost every other company looks for a programmer and you'd be competing with CS guys for the profile

3 Interview Rounds

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The selection procedure is a test followed by tech interview and an HR interview.
The test had two parts:
 Aptitude (common across all profiles)
 A tech. test (separate for each profile)

Round: Interview
Experience: The tech interview was the important one and the HR interview was just about knowing the student and vice-versa. The tech interview was more concentrated on the basics and more importance was given to the approach of solving the problem rather than solving the problem itself.
No CGPA cutoff.

Round: Interview

General Tips: The work is well structured and executed. There is a lot of opportunity for more technical learning. Interns are also included into the teams and this helps the intern on knowing about the things going around them and gets an overall view of how things work.
As a whole, the work is very good, and exceeds all the expectations of the students.
