They prefer lazy, unskilled people who only sweet talk their way to the top. Appraisals happen just on the basis of the relationship but not actual peformance which makes it very unfair for those who are dedicated workers. People who like to play work place politics will be entertained. Ive seen many great people and good performers being asked to leave because they may have different opinions and work with integrity. This entirely depends on the team you have joined and the manager you have. Some teams and managers are good.

Very cheap mindset Indian team lead they are trying to create toxic environment. Making personal bias your work never get noticed. There is feedback policy but if your relationship is not good with TL he will ruin your feedback because senior management will only look for TL feedback what he is giving.
