Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Dislikes

No other monetary benefits other than. Salary night incentive also added in salary and small process so lot of shuffle But overall it's all good for slow and steady growth

Benefits are very low Appraisals are the worst No job security No work life balance Paid very low as per market standards, the starting salary is the minimum wage allowed by the government. Too much office politics, manager's spoons are given promotions. Too much time tracking and managing humans like robots.

Company is good. Salary is on time. Leaves are good. Hybrid model is good.

Dislikes

Promotion sucks, no promotion even after spending 8 years in company. Management sucks. No appreciation. No motivation. Only show off that company is amazing work culture is amazing. But in reality it is worst. Internal politics.
