Managers are good and supportive. And more important they believe in to train the team to grow as engineer. Skill development is good.
...ditional benefits to work on holidays. Even complementary off also not provided. Too much deduction in salary. So salary is below average for engineer position.
...o share their knowledge and thus a good place in terms of learning from peers.
Compensation provided is okay in regard to the other companies in the same industries though can be improved a lot.
Small company so if you're eager to do work you'll get good exposure in cross-domain functions and good engineering tools etc.
You get to visit hydropower plants if the work requires, so once experienced you can have on-site exposure as well.
The leaves are plenty and useful. In the matter of leaves it is good, specially in case of need you can take leaves without hesitation.
The top management makes rules only to exploit all the lower levels, no one is happy in this company. The attrition rate recently has gone very high, the management doesn't care about it as the work is still getting done.
In covid it was really a shame how the system was managed, only show off tactics were implemented. People were forced to work from office in bad times and only after it was absolutely unbearable, they had to give WFH as per govt. restrictions. As soon as the restrictions were lifted they started calling people back.
To compensate that this WFH had loss of productivity, Saturday was compulsorily made working. Making it a 51 hours work week(excluding lunch break) which is beyond Indian standards of working. This change was not done through policy revision, only communicated via email.
No feedback mechanism. Even if you give a feedback it'll never be implemented.
The policiy matters can keep on changing on mails etc and there is no proper HR functioning whom you can call out for feedback or help. All the decisions, even like approving someone's WFH is at the discretion of MD of the company.
There are no team outings etc, rather it was made compulsory to stay inside office the whole day as if you go out you can catch covid. Also, it was made compulsory to bring your own food as ordering from outside can bring covid in office. Only a particular vendor(earlier the canteen sevice provider) could deliver food in case you didn't bring lunch. It's food was very terrible. Although this is now changed but still not officially. Don't know why.
No party culture, only distribution of sweets and few snacks even after big milestones like project award and commissioning.
Appraisals are done in a black box fashion. There was no details of how the percentage was selected. Even after mailing the HR he didn't respond as to what is the criteria or the process.
No feedback for employee training/development. All the feedbacks stayed till manager level only. One feedback meeting with HOD's and managers in a year should be planned to improve this.
Coworker’s are really nice and will help you a lot in learning new things as well as managers too give you lot of confidence and guide you in a good work culture. Good food was provided
Only re-hiring policy is good. otherwise no words in terms of quality.
Dislikes
Compensation is ok as per company profit. No value of main resource I.e. employee in every aspect. Favour of managment is very strong against those who are having very less knowledge. Employees who have Yes Boss nature without work can survive very easily.
Lot of politics as usual in any work place, You could be blamed for any mistake, If your job involves travelling the first preference is work, your personal life and family comes afterwards. No proper training, just a basic training and they expect you to troubleshoot the most complicated situations on your own. The work pressure is too high at times. You might have to work 14-16 hours a day and if you are stuck at the project sight it could be higher. This hard work goes un-noticed and unpaid. Travelling on Sundays and Weekends is pretty common and sometimes on holidays too. Office from Monday till Saturday 9-6 and travelling on Sundays means straight 15 days of work. No proper travelling schedule. 7 days travelling schedule might extend to 20 days too. and in between travelling the reports and Travelling feedback has to be updated on time. You might have to work at home too, to meet the deadlines. There have been situations where an individual had to work in the day and travel at night for 3 times in a row. No proper treatment is given to Junior Employees. Some times you have to miss your family functions too. Work load at times is too high. Group-ism might demotivate an individual, especially when you are new. You cannot plan long term collaboration with this company. One person makes all the rules of the company.
