...osition( HR Director( is he really leading by compassion?)& Wellness Director), fellow employees, hostel room mates( shouldn't pair married with unmarried), (asking my salary upon joining-arrival, taking photos and videos of the room when unclean or Im at work but also not owning upto their own flaws..not allowing time for it or having patience to see and acknowledge when it is actually done)....she's anyway going to leave for 1.5 lakh salary back to vietnam (or a better offer) & has taken up a job that was first offered to her husband. When she cannot share a chair for the purpose of studying and puts her suitcas e on it, why at all live in a shared accomodation? ....being made to feel small for asking questions or raising queries. No respect given to a doctor. No allowance made for other AYUSH Systems of medicine other than Ayurveda I was told I don't have a right to inquire where the profits are going when I asked why a session is priced so much and what is my share....especially if I'm taking 5 sessions or more per day. "I'm just a lower hierarchical employee of the company subject to its rules/policies" Request a PERIODIC AND THOROUGH INSPECTION of COMPANY & ITS POLICIES by an AUTHORISED ANTI CORRUPTION COMMITTEE and LABOURER / EMPLOYEE WELFARE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY ASSOCIATION OF UTTARAKHAND OR DELHI GOVERNMENT, and also following up on Glassdoor reviews as well. Doctors licenses are subject to removal if they support corruption and it amounts to malpractice because they take an oath of ethics during their graduation ceremony No HRA & Conveyance Allowance...No company mobiles for work resources and phones have to be submitted at security. On inquiry...being repeatedly told change in company policies. No transparency before job interview. No transparency at all Requires more diversity in hiring multicultural employees and not just locals alone. Male patients/ guests can be administered treatments by Male Acupuncturists. Require biodegradable hand gloves Also they ask if you have any political connections or influence in the joining formalities/ form that is to be filled in... Require Separate cabs for Female Employees Requires Proper facilities for the amount being paid/deducted at company accomodation & preferably the choice to have a better roommate, if you don't get along, ( wall plaster from rain damage has to be fixed to prevent fungal growth) Additional clothes hanging stand can be provided when the no of inmates are more. Also if a roommate is keeping her phone video on nonstop so her husband can peep into a womens only accomodation while she chats non stop post work, what privacy is there for unmarried employees or those who'd want to study? Such minor things also matter.... No smoking in company accomodation and remedial measures/ programs/ facilities offered to employees with smoking-alcohol-drug addictions so the vice doesn't spread to other employees Competition between different departments within the wellness team must be handled well Closed High Walls Lack of Sunlight, staff allowances to be made for access to better sunlight areas which would improve their health and functioning capabalities Can have a large and better employee library of books/ resources Employee orientation as to how to behave with other employees Requires appropriate renumeration for work done Certain Conveyance/ medical bills/ meal bills can be reimbursed. Re-imbursible flexipay benefits are to be offered Not enough housekeeping staff as mentioned by the one that keeps my office room Appropriate wellness strategies and compensation by way of leave must be implemented verily on time so employees are not burnt out from criticism, work place politics or worn out emotionally mentally physically by carry over to personal life. An effective solution for all these issues must be arrived at for better productivity and better employee and company functioning.

The career growth is very less and people who are senior to one another doesn’t let other co-worker to have growth in the career field infact they demotive and creat very negative environment. And if this is not enough they provoke other coworkers to resign and leave the department and firm.

If you are from Dehradun, it’s a place to work. As you may find some time to spend at home ( forget the festival times) . Cafeteria food is provided to every employee . Medical checkup’s are provided by company at regular intervals. A day off is given every week . PF is deducted and company also contributes to it. Most of the time you may get the applied leaves( apart from festivals and busy period) The property is amazing with tranquil nature and prestine clean air. The guests coming are mostly humble and not very rude.

The owner has unclear objectives ( every three months the focus changes) Top management is ridiculous . If you see their performance from outside, they seem to be unworthy of their high post , the only reason they have sticked around is buttering and pampering the owner. Middle management are mostly the ones who have been working since the beginning but are actually the dumbest beings in the property. Their focus is on the owner rather than the guests. The working staff are a bunch of headless chickens who are busy in working but with minimal productiveness The work load and stress is too high, although the actual work is very less. For eg : A guest’s food order requires 1 chef and 1 service team member to serve, whereas Owner’s food order requires the Head chef with three other chefs and F&B manager and two others to serve. The owner’s coffee is made only by team manager and above position . They cut employees in every year or two in the name of dhansantushti only to rehire in a few months, so your job security will always be on ultra high risk. The f&b service staff also has to serve as a office boy for other departments which gets quite humiliating sometimes.

Company policies have changed a lot, they used to be employee friendly. Project Dhansantushti is the name of the annual ritual of golden handshakes, where people are kicked off and then they start re hiring again. Nobody at Vana who is hired to do a job ends up doing the same job, in fact they run around like headless chickens they do not know what they are supposed to do. There is a lot of foo foo about karma and dharma, yet the level of toxicity is incomparable. I should be grateful as being thrown into the deep end has served me well and I learnt a lot, and exited when there were just games being played and no work done.

Lots of politics: the focus is on placating the owner and not on work. Only the sycophants have stuck on, those who have nowhere else to go. The promotions are given to those who are in the owner's radar, irrespective of their work and actual contribution. There is a very negative environment of perpetual dissatisfaction. There is a nexus of people who act as filters of communication and make sure the honest picture is not presented to the owner. The owner is very benevolent to his new senior management hires in the beginning, and then just drops them like hot potato and insults them. They take the insult because by now they have grown used to the pampering (gifts and privileges) and know they will not be hired at the same position anywhere else. In essence, highly toxic environment. Also, there are no trainings for skill development of the employees. The management has money for multi tiered gold leafed cakes but no money or inclination to give their designers a simple adobe refresher. Really, have never seen this pell mell anywhere else.
