In certain departments, the heads of groups lack effective leadership skills and fail to move the team forward. Instead, they create chaos and show disregard for personal growth. Favoritism towards sycophants is prevalent, leading to dissatisfaction among dedicated team members. Workload distribution is uneven, especially for those working shifts, and no leave is granted for working on holidays such as HOLI or Diwali 🎇. The PSCC department is among the worst performers due to biased and disconnected leadership. The HOD of the PSCC department is living in a fantasy world of TPDDL, with complete disregard for the current field conditions. This mentality is not limited to one department but is evident throughout the organization. Similarly, the HR team lacks clear policies and consistency, resulting in haphazard management. Appraisals are biased, and promotions are slow for new employees, with preference given to those from TPDDL or Mumbai or to those who engage in sycophancy. The safety team's failures are evident in the occurrence of regular fatal accidents without concrete actions taken to address them. After every fatality only safety time.out meetings will be done with no clear picture of root fault cause and blame games are played instead of Why Why analysis .Field teams suffer from understaffing, hindering the organization's operations. Furthermore, new hires are often underpaid, receiving salaries below industry standards.

... can also transfer to PSCC and enjoy the remote operation job like my colleague. Timely salary, new technologies like SCADA, PSCC, Smart meter, Call Centre, MPG, GIS etc. all departments are good. Power System Control Centre have control room which operates 24x7 for continuous power supply. Through SCADA power restored within a second and all relays can easily be known.

Work load is high. Site job & very large distances. Collection pressure for all months.

In my department also HoD always provides an equal opportunity to grow and learn. He listens about every individual issues and try to resolve them . 5. Social Responsibility - Tata Power is known for its commitment to social and environmental causes, which can be a source of pride for employees. 6. PSCC is purely Technical department where an employee can gain Electrical Operational experience and Data Analysis both simultaneously. Also PSCC department always encourage to adopt new technologies and participate in various national and international forums for personal and organisational fame.

...e change management, employees may feel slow improvement at the ground level. 2. Salary - Some employees may feel that their compensation is not in line with their expectations or industry standards.

This is TP western odisha not Tata. Work culture is zero here. Specially in PSCC department every employees is frustrated. PSCC is "Pareshaan System Call Centre". If anyone is coming from technical field plz dont join this department. Here shift people is suffering, they dont get public holidays, leave, c-off enacashment , shift allowance, night shift allowance & work load is very high during shift hours. Appraisals are totally biased, all back office employees getting good ratings and employees on which PSCC is running only 2-3 of them get good rating. HOD only kept increasing pressure on shift employees for work but will never support them and will never talk on behalf of them for c-off encashment, shift/night shift allowance. Join any department but not PSCC, this is the worst.
