Teammates here at The Times of India, Ahmedabad are excellent to work with, and because of presence of seniors, learning becomes easy and fun. This is one such organisation where career growth is definite. The overall work environment has been good so far.

Dislikes

Job security is a major concern here as consultants and pay roll employees work in the same pattern, yet are treated very differently, and for quite a long time, even after a consultant has been putting his/her 100%, doesn't get permanent employment. And because of this salary/appraisal doesn't happen.

... happiness of the employee which in turn increases productivity by the employee. Employees are given good compensation and benefits which no other company offers. In fact, there are innumerable things that are good about this company. The tag line itself reads - BCCL - Putting people first

Dislikes

This may not be applicable to every office of the The Times of India, but Nashik being a small bureau each reporter had to list at least 5-6 stories. In case of developments/happenings in the evening the story count went up to 7-8 which put lot of pressure on the reporters who are already racing against time to meet the deadline.

Being surrounded by talented people was a advantage. Everyone was polite. Workspace is great.

Dislikes

Shift timings isn't followed, many work overtime without compensation, no respect for social life (specially for your family).

There are loads of facilities that will entice you to not quit

Dislikes

But those facilities are mostly for the bosses or very senior members. They duped e of my annual bonus just because I quit. I worked for the entire financial year and got a promotion too. But in my final settlement, they cheated me. I will never go back to this company. Juniors are hardly given opportunities. Seniors use the company's money to travel abroad for junkets and fulfill their travel goals.
