So as the covid came company gad pay cut of 15 percent. There are no laptops given to all employees, so in lockdown we were stuck at home. Once we returned higher management sent a mail that we support you, throughout the lockdown. But internal managers, they took all our leaves of this year. People were forced to come office, although its a desk job and we were not needed there. They were not ready to arrange laptops for people.

Dislikes

The basic employment facilities are not at all good. There are no perks of working with TE. No WFH, no laptops, no cab facility, no canteen areas, no nearby food shops,politics of higher to internal managers.

TE connectivity was my Design career first company,I had good team mates,but with some mischief young guys playing with career in support of top management ( as people will be same every where).Overall it was a good experience with good support of some good managers, learnt lot of things on design and development of connector for automative application.

Dislikes

Compensation is descent,but growth is slow.Managers do not value an individual but provide preferanc for close to them.Appraisals was never made on employees effort.Initally there was good support for Freshers but as time passed lot of things changed in way culture had become so bad in such a way that person who trained individual was targeted to quit company,this pians more.

Hybrid working, global exposure & collaboration, canteen facility with complimentary meals, On-time salary, various ERGs focusing on diversity & inclusion.

Dislikes

Insufficient trainings & support, limited growth opportunities, excessive unproductive meetings, underpaid & overworked, bullying seniors & favouritism within team, demanding work environment resulting in poor work-life balance, extending works (10-12 Hrs) on most days for meeting unrealistic deadlines, lack of recognition, promotion based on connections not on merits, biased performance reviews, too much focus on cost-cutting & constantly outsourcing repetitive works to contract companies, Job risk due to frequent org restructuring & high attritions.

Likes

The area of work for the Product development engineer is quite large and it gives ample opportunities to work in the different streams of PDLC. Lateral movement to management or engineering ladder is easier

Dislikes

Average pay is below market standards. Having the ownership of the whole product makes stretched hours a routine. Free thinking/ innovation is snubbed at many levels. Promotion and appraisal is not structured well. Promotions are delayed and appraisals are below market standards
