The perception of company depends on the project you are in . This company is great when you learn in a project and work environment is good . But when you get yourself landed in a project in which work culture is toxic and people are not very professional, then that is a trouble . I have worked in both kinds of project . In one I was learning something new everyday , and people were quite professional. But in another project, Which was support work culture was very toxic and there was nothing to learn . Each and everyday spent in that project seemed like waste of time to me .

Pay scale is very poor Employees choice for project is very limited There are people with no work ethic working here

...yalty that I showed since I joined as a fresher and served for 6 and half years. From the mere salary that I get and the FFS, the notice period shortfall was deducted. I am unhappy with the TATA brand!

Only good thing now left @TCS is that it provides learning opportunities and higher limit for hospitalization.

Dislikes

No salary hikes for seniors despite good rating,lot of screwing policies, poor Admin services, you will not even get proper tea without paying. Now there is no job security with current policy change. Promotions are quite difficult and no much salary hike on Promotions. It is a hell life for mid level people technical or others.Getting hike of 1% every year despite of good band. Juniors get 7-8 %. It is a clear message from management to leave for mid experience level. TCS is not the same which I joined 13 years back.

No work to do. No pressure on work completion or meeting targets. Supervisors and managers encourage to give hyped estimates to client.

Dislikes

No work from home option. Promotions and salary hikes are near to 0. No salary hikes not even to meet market inflations. Employees are not treated well. Once you get into TCS then your professional growth comes to a stand still.

The work pressure will be normal as compared to other fast paced companies since they hire too many people overall workload will be diluted. Flexible timing just tap and work from home.

Dislikes

Hikes absolutely you can get salary basis you work even when you get top band the hike will be restricted to max 5%.
