It's good to work in such a world's top most IT company.I has been learning alot from beginning in TCS.such as developing technologies and work adaptability,work culture and professional ethics.

Only thing I didn't like in TCS is salary,they were paying salaries for freshers is very low but assigned work is too much but meanwhile we learnt something that's fine but they assigned worst technologies like mainframes etc.

Dislikes

Very stingy management Employees get only salary but no goodies, team lunches or sponsored celebrations. Laptops given are poor in condition to many and warranty of the laptops are not tracked properly. Employees are forced to pay for any damage even for a 2 year old laptop

Promotions are on hold at all levels for 2 years now. Even the top performers with A band not getting promoted and salary hike is 2-4%. All this in the name of difficult market conditions, meanwhile CEO getting near to 30% hike, hypocrisy much? Is TCS management turning away from famed TATA ethics?

Confused about Salary negotiations

CTC - 8 LPA Loc - Bengaluru, India I have been working in the same company for the last 5 years. My salary went from 3.6 LPA to 8 LPA over the years. I recently put papers, and, started giving interviews. I got an offer from TCS for 15 LPA(12.8 fixed). For more than a month, I've been giving interviews, asking for 18 LPA and many HRs are rejecting straight away, citing it is more than 100% hike from my current CTC. I kept trying and now I am selected for 5 companies - Iris Software, Capgemini, Quantzig Analytics, PwC, HCL, Infinite. Salary discussions are about to start and I'm confused. I'm not good at this. Can anyone suggest?
