...no future of employees who are working in TCIL. No job security in this company. Those who worked more than 7+ years on site in African countries, are now getting fired without any compensation or prior intimation. We were not given our foreign fund when we were in African countries on a TCIL project. Its site engineers survived on borrowed money which was taken from the local foreign coordinators. Its management is d worst among all the worst companies in the world.

As it is a PSU, the plus points are job security and compensation.

Dislikes

On the negative side, it has become a purely contract management company, outsourcing almost all the projects to backend vendor / partner. As a result there is no motivation for employees to keep themselves updated on the latest technologies. Secondly, the office procedures are still relying on the 'paper based file' system. Thirdly, there are no standards defined for due diligence, which is of utmost importance since it is a contract management company.

TCIL is one of the best PSUs in India in terms of compensation packages and it gives the overseas exposer to all of it's employees and so much to learn in project sites. Only challenge is to balance one's family life as being a project oriented company there are frequent transfers. Otherwise from every perspective it is good to work at TCIL

The company is open to innovation and readily adopts latest technology. I love the fact that was a part of the team that markets reliable, high quality products and has a global client base. As a result, I got to travel abroad, specially to Kuwait and Nepal.

Dislikes

Compensation and growth is slow. Work pressure is very high. at project site we have to work on 24 *7. Lack of job training for freshers and seniors like me have to guide them step by step.
