Salary Negotiation in an interview
Hi, I have had a first round of interview with the company. And mentioned my salary expectations as 15- 20% from my previous LPA. But after that I feel like I have undervalued my expectations. Being in the field for 9 years with the required skill, considering the market and the prospect company is a well known builder, i should have asked more. Anyway a face to face interview is scheduled next week. How to ask them a higher salary from what I have mentioned earlier. And how much I can ask more. Please help. Thanks in advance.

...enefits are good. Pure politics especially in Professional services department. You cannot grow career or salary by competing with them. They wont work but as they are relatives/X colleagues of relatives of few leads they will get good hikes/promotions. Even though you work smard you wont get these.

The timings are flexible and the food is free if you have to work night shifts.

Dislikes

...ee welfare. There is no work culture. Its a purely commercial minded management. Very bad salary hikes and almost nil chances of promotion as there is performance appraisal system. Its better to avoid working here.

1. Company follow the process. 2. Company work life balance is descent 3. Techwise they are pretty updated.

Dislikes

1. India team only works on tech stack in case US teams approves, so in a way India team is just a proxy. 2. Favouritism is there.

Sumtotal has really good policies like plenty of leaves, work from home for 2 days a month, benefits etc.

Managers need to grow up, they still behave like kids fighting and cheating. Company gives you plenty of leaves but managers dnt approve them.
