1) Based on your team and position in the company, your work-life balance can vary. But in general it is good. You don't get pressured much because it is an insourcing firm and your clients are your internal stakeholders. 2) The outlook of the Group Management is Fabulous. They are pulling the right strings at the right time and set ambitious yet achievable goals. But they don't transcend down to the lower rungs of the pyramid. It gets blocked by the fatty middle management layer and they are more of projections than actual actions. The Group is often blinded by the what happens in the upper layers of the pyramid. 3) The strides it made during the past 4 years, slow but there is progress without stagnation at least is some departments of the bank.

...adder or get promoted as they value your longevity more than your performance. 4) Salary is absolutely not competitive. It is like India is - The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. If you do a comparison you don't even fall in the market median bracket which is pathetic. They milk on people's ignorance on their market worth and value. 5) The external perspective of SCB GBS is not that great in India Chennai/Bangalore. Therefore when you want to look out, you rarely get calls from other players in the same sector. Maximum it would be Citi, HSBC, SG. This might not be true for SCB Singapore. 6) Senior folks have established their comfort couches in the company and it makes it difficult for talented junior folks to climb up.

I have been working with SCB GBS since 2010 and I must that it gives a great learning opportunity though compensation must improve to match with existing companies. Secondly, Manager/ boss culture need to be improvised though its quite subjective and individual attitude

GBS leadership as an individual Managers with 10 - 15 years of experience within organization are bias and follow boss culture whereas on-site leadership team is the best.

1. Initial compensation offered was good. 2. The higher management tries to take care of employee benefits.

1. Although compensation offered while joining is quite good, the compensation increment in the forthcoming years was quite low. 2. There is mostly no wfh. And although the higher management tries the best to keep up the work-life balance, personally in my project, I felt that missing. Staying late at office till 10 PM and then not getting any office commute back home makes it quite unsafe for women employees. I was expected to be available for almost every weekend and outside my office hours to take up work at any time of the day. 3. For the issues that I faced, there was no channel to escalate my concerns to the next level of management in case they were not responded to, by the immediate supervisor. 4. Although my base location was Bengaluru, for every production deployment in around 4-6 months, a part of the team was expected to move to Chennai for a month or more to support deployment and normalisation period. This may be a little challenging for employees with families.

Very hard to find anything good here

Dislikes

1 No increment cause they say my pay is above market level 2 Hard work has no value but buttering the manager and staying late in office has value 3 No compensation for working weekends 4 Very bad work culture 5 Everything is controlled from Chennai and Bangalore people have no value 6 They will pay you hike based on your work experience and current CTC and not depending on your effort or hard work 7 Some managers don't allow you to work from home but work from home for at least a month or 2 in total in a Year DO NOT JOIN THIS COMPANY
