I worked as a senior Resident in one of the surgical departments ( ENT) LIKES- pay salary on time. Not unethical practices. Campus is amazing in a good location.

As a senior resident you'll get a good opportunity to learn basic ENT, but once you learn basics you will achieve plateau and cannot grow further as senior doctors only operate most of the cases and you don't get opportunity to grow further. Heavy work burden is there and senior doctors treat you like PGs and expect you to work like PGs . I had atleast 9 duties per months and they are all busy. Accomodation ie not provided and cost of 1 bhk apartment in Koramangala is atleast 40,000. First 7 months they only pay you 70,000. Next 6 months you'll get 85,000. After 1 year your pay will reach 1 lakhs. So pay is very poor for the work you do. They also send you to far away camps every week . Poor work life balance but rich exposure.

Poorest salary in the industry, Poor work-life balance, No accommodation provided for Senior Residents (Accommodation only provided on paper for us, that too for getting MCI recognition only), No opportunities for career growth (Career growth in similar hospitals is quite rapid), Lots of unnecessary clerical work for doctors, Worst blood bank in the city (You will be asked to arrange donors every time in return for any blood product they issue, release of blood for emergency situations takes around 8-10 hours, blood bank staff never go for any camps in the city to collect and stock blood), poor management, No food available in the nights for doctors doing night duties (we have to buy food from outside), Discharge process takes half a day at least (billing section delays discharge unnecessarily, patients who have to go to far off places are given discharge summaries in the night and thereby forced to stay one more night and pay hospital bills for the extra duration of stay), rude staff in the emergency department (They were rude to my own mother in my presence itself, so you can imagine how they treat total strangers)

It is a Job Security workplace and the hospital / healthcare benefits for its staffs at its best

- There is no growth in the career. - We cannot expect any promotions / appraisal for our work done as the promotion will take place only if one completes 10 years of service and that too very low hike of between 1000-1500 increase in your payroll. - The pay is very less compared to the market standards
