New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

Salary assured for IBA pay scale staff. No assurance for CTC staff. Not sure what will happen in salary for IBA scale staffs in coming years.

Dislikes

Work culture and work life balance adversely affected after introduction of cluster system in 2021. Excellent in alloting huge targets but worst in getting assistance for departments in solving customer complaints. Mental and physical health of staff seriously affected. Threatening messages through WhatsApp. Have to contact customers through personal mobile so that staff has to attend customer while at home and holidays.

Salary they provide intial phase of career is nice

Business they will ask it depends upon manager also how they give targets and all ..but it is very frustration to do operation part as well as business targets

Dislikes

Have worked as a probationary clerk for 7 months. I had to quit due to the poor worklife balance. Some managers take undue advantage of the freshers and my manager made me work till 8:30 whereas the banking hour is only till 5pm. Overall, the management and culture of SIB is not good. I'm glad that i resigned.
