...founders are dishonest about the financial problems the company has been facing. They have never managed to give the salaries on time and to top that, they always used to lie or give excuses for the delay. They have a habit of blaming the team for not being able to deliver on a client and give that as a reason to justify why the client is not paying/delayed the payment/stopped working. Secondly, they have been caught lying to team members several times on the salary issues. One example is when a high paying client had cleared the money for the first two months and we were informed that they will pay in the third (current) month. Our salaries were delayed in that month when we were told this lie. However, we got to know through the client that the first two months payments had been cleared each month respectively.. When we confronted them, one of the co-founders told us that they are running a business and the business has many expenses beyond salary which needed to be taken care off.. Thirdly, in the few months of employment with them, they changed their office THRICE.. When we were told that a business has many expenses beyond clearing salaries on time, one would obviously think that office rent would have been the next big expense. However, that was not the case with them. The duration when our salaries were not been cleared on time, we were also asked to work from home for a few days and after almost a week, we were told to join a new workspace in the same area. Upon our own research, we got to know from the previous workspace team members and workers that the owner had sealed our seats and stuff as Skateboard media was not able to pay the rent on time.. Infact, were were informed that a few of the checks issued by SBM had bounced.. Overall, I would urge freshers/experienced individuals to kindly think before you join as structurally and financially, Skateboard Media is not doing good.

The management gave me total freedom to work in the manner I wanted. However, there has been some issue with the reimbursement payments sometimes. Overall I loved working with Skateboard Media, as I got the opportunity to explore creative ways of working.

Dislikes

Though the client servicing team was not as aggressive to drive the account, overall the work experience has been good.

It could probably be the last option any PR professional would like to apply for as there is zero culture and work ethics

The lack of trust by company owners and always trying to keep control of everything in their hands

Nothing honestly . Pretty bad working conditions For the employees. And no one as such cares about the well being of the employees.

The company culture is pathetic. There is no respect even if you work with your full heart and give your 200 percent at workplace. The bosses don’t respect people at all for the good work team does. The bosses needs to talk in a better manner than how they do
