...hey have thought is to fill their own pocket. SGS Consultant is not exceptional. They cut salary, cut increment and bonus also. As a whole its a bad experience during lockdown with SGS Consultant.

...olkata Laboratory here the teammates are very helpful. SGS is a good brand name. Salary and other dues clear on time. You will face different kinds of problems and learn many things.

Dislikes

After joining here you will search for new job after 1 month. Every employees are here searching for jobs. There is no job security. You have to work almost 12-14 hrs in a day without any extra benefits. You have to work on sundays/holidays(Not the Work from home) without any remunerations. In every month you have to face different kind of audits like local audit, national audit, TG audit etc. and for all the audits there was different kind of formats. The company policy is to sack 2-3 employee in a year so after getting the employee of the year award he was discontinued from the work in the next month. Here the lab head also sacked in a one day notice specifically in Kolkata laboratory. In every 6 months the employees are changed. The lab manager Mr. Dutta always trying to demotivate you and behave with all the employees like a servant but he is the only employee who is survived as his main job description is oiling the Global heads. You will also not getting the written bonus as in every year will get the letter that you are under performed. The yearly increment is also very poor.

Nothing is likeable about this company.

I was worked here for 4 months..between these four months the company did not provide proper salary. Only first month the company give my salary. And that in each of the month they said that the project was not properly completed. Untill we fulfil there vendor meets they did not provide money.. When we ask that what was our fault. They said we have done many mistakes in entey. When we ask for please show us what is the mistake they said it cant be shown because it was not in there.. Saikat is the main culprit. Not only me there was more than 12 employee who not get there salary including me...

Instead of working as a third-party inspector & certification company SGS is providing manpower only in their respective sites like JSL plant, at Jajpur. After joining at their JSL site as a Senior Inspection Engineer (Quantity) I became to know that employees of SGS is working under the authority of JSL. But before joining I was told that SGS was working as a third-party inspector company hired by JSL.
