Some colleagues are very nice and knowledgeable, willing to help newcomers and share their knowledge. Others are not as friendly but more on that below.

Dislikes

Like any other job, your manager is the most important person. Mine was a bully, and made it very clear in the first week that he doesn't care about what I do and left me alone. This happened right after he asked which church I go to (Northern Ireland, right?). I worked day and night to implement a new design (25-30% less material, 20% cost reduction) and presented it to the team, just to have him ridicule me in front of everyone. A month later, seen the same manager had stolen a few slides of mine to present it to higher management. He gave me ABOSLUTE ZERO recognition, and said "I have not met my goals". Changing to a new position in a competitor firm down the road in two months time (30% rise included). Sensata is laying people off left and right, calling it 'strategy', and not believing staff are the most important asset to the company.
