Learning, training, career development and job fulfillment, company culture and above average compensation. Work related travels and job assignments for various locations and cross functional roles are also part of the reason why I enjoyed working and very grateful for the opportunity to be once an employee of Seagate Technology.

Dislikes

While training and other career development programs are available and definitely I participated in some of those, there are some areas where it could have done better, i.e. training for Management team, I wish it could have been more comprehensive like the ones they are doing at General Electric....

It is one the best company when it comes to work life balance. Work culture is also highly recommend. You will always be surrounded with amazingly talented people.

Dislikes

...lmost 3 years I have seen 3-4 rounds of headcount reduction (lay offs) globally. I have not seen any salary increase but experienced salary reduction for 6 month globally.

Work Life balance and Culture is good. Work is also ok.

Dislikes

They will let trained and talented people go because of less salary but will not give market salary. Seagate is lagging a lot in salary numbers compare to other company.

Dying company. Hire and fire culture. High internal corruption. Directors are running dummy companies and hiring moon lighting contractors from dummy companies. Internal employees are not treated well. It's loss making company. Soon it is going to be out of market like Nokia.

...hange their policy at any moment without taking any employee survey or feedback. Seems like cost cutting is everything for this company. They provide you onshore for very short term but ask you to pay for hotels and then reimburse.
