Insurance advisors get only commissions based on the product they sell.. No salary.. No job security.. Nothing.. If you sell you get commission, otherwise no money.. There r people who make good money as an insurance advisor.. But i couldn't.. Good selling skill is needed to be a successful insurance agent.. Misselling happens all time.. The client interest is not taken care.. Even persons at top level of management don't know the difference between RRR n normal return.. They don't even know what's RRR.. Financial literacy should be given.. All learned persons know that insurance is not an investment but insurance advisors r taught that it's a good investment return product.. And it's also hard to make a layman wise on financial products.. Even educated people are reluctant to invest money in insurance.. Like I said, a good salesman can definitely make money.. But people with client' interest, ethics would find it hard.. My experience is less, not even 1 year but this is what I learned..
