New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

1. Different CTC is shared and different payment is received 2. NO Overtime Payment 3. Additional work hours due to low staffing 4. Company implies no Hire policy randomly for months 5. Ops manager, Area Manager do not bother what good store do, they just play mail mail and question store team

Pret A Manger internationally is very well organised and it carries a great working culture all over the world except India. Pret A Manger International cares a lot about their people and strictly adhered to the policies and standard

Dislikes

These comments are only for India Market Pret A Manger. The work culture is extremely toxic, Leadership Team expecting 200% work output with zero support and resource tools and no recognition. Process and standards are only on books and very well tampered by the leadership team. Not at all recommended.

It will take time to get appreciation or promotion based on work. Someone times it has a luck factor also. But anyways good things can happen only after a struggle.

you can work on different domains while staying in this company.

Dislikes

lots of work load and they will terminate anyone after making them work for few months without giving salary. Project coordinator are of abusive nature to male as well as female employees.
