Employees are highly pressurized to complete work and work culture is terrible. Being an executive, there is no proper timing for work, you're supposed to be available 24/7. Availing leaves is difficult, along with remote areas of posting with no proper facilities. Higher management is often ignorant to your pleas even if they know they're genuine. HR department is the most terrible one here, it's almost non existent. They have never done any work that's related to Human Resource Management and they never treat other employees with respect. Transfers are done based on company's requirement mostly and rarely based on your preference. Overall, it is expected of you to completely sign up yourself as a highly paid slave.

Dislikes

Management should implement board decision and GOI circular in reasonable time. Interview for promotion to GM and above may be organised properly so that employee should have less stress.

Working as a contractual employee is good enough as long as you don't see your future beyond the job contract agreement , which you have signed at the time of joining and extensions (if any).

... POWERGRID you will get to learn a lot of things on the core electrical front. As far as salary is concerned it is really good for entry level job, as you don't get easily such a handsome package just passing out from college.

Site locations are remote you might have to adjust with your lifestyle accordingly.

Power erectors is a small organization. where we have opportunities to learn more on ground level to Top management for example Team management,planing,Client co-ordination,billing,material reconciliation.
