The salary and health benefits were good.

Dislikes

The people in my lab were horrible. Their behavior was very rude, which included even the masters and PhD students. The professor and the students only communicated in Chinese and completely ignored my presence (I could not understand anything that they discussed). The professor only trusted the local and Vietnamese students and openly expressed his distrust in me as I was new. I had a terrible experience and I would suggest everyone to enquire about the professor, lab, and the colleagues thoroughly before moving to Taiwan.

Likes

Working at National Tsing University is a great feeling. The work culture and working environment is highly professional and fruitful. My Colleagues are from different cultural backgrounds that give additional advantage of knowing about different culture. My advisor and my colleagues are very helpful. Apart from working in lab, every 2 months we will have small get-together or party either we eat Pizza or Barbeque or having traditional Taiwanese cuisine, helps us to know and interact each other more.

Dislikes

Recently I had babies (Twins), I heard from my friends in different companies that they get some baby bonus from company, but this bonus or benefits are not available here in National Tsing Hua University for Post-Doctoral Fellow.

Likes

Well, National Tsing Hua University is 2nd ranked prestigious university in Taiwan. It also ranked 168 in QS ranking 2021. Working here is really good exposure for me. I've learned a lot of things here. MSE department has almost all the facilities for doing good research.

Dislikes

Everything is good here but the major barrier most of the peoples face here is language barrier.
