... at nano-centre no one cares about your life so you have to manage it properly salary will be fixed for research assistants according to the project but if you are a temporary employee of this department then let me tell you that you will get paid from the University of Mumbai & not from the Central government, in 2017 they sacked almost 2-3000 temporary employees(who worked there for 5-10 years on contract basis) without any notice or reason. So be prepared for the worst situation. In Nano-Centre Professors have internal issues with each other & nobody cooperates each other. The speed of innovation may be good as compared to the university departments but IIT or reputed universities are always good.

...ant then your guide will be your boss & there is no control of University on it. Your professor or guide can stop your salary if there is any issue in between you two (this thing already happened with me). No job security.
