Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Employees will get vey much familiar with vlookup function in excel, as it is the only function they use there.

Dislikes

The company is not at all registered here. It is not a commercial space. Office is at MD's home building. The boss Venky is just terrible to work with. And as the employees are at his house, rules and regulations will keep on changing as per his convenience.
