There is a lot of politic and the management doesn't address our issues. Salary is decent but career growth is slow. There is a bond of 2 year before which you cannot resign. On the job training is not given to new joined.
Being at the apex body of govt. planning and policy one can learn how Ministries work in implementing the policies across the nation. You will get ample support and guidance if you are new from your seniors and get opportunity to interact with diff. Other govt. / pvt. bodies/ agencies/ companies. Good opportunity to build contacts with people at higher position. But while working there, you are working for govt. So you should be cautious about mishandling of imp. Official details that many outsiders would require for their benefits. Every work you do is forwarded ahead in a proper channel. Everyone gets their system with LAN and sufficient stationary. One can learn or absorb things out of this dept. Depending on his/her efficiency. A good place to add in your cv. Work life balance is good. There aint much work pressure or dealines to finish work for most of the things and no late stay is asked. At time or during parliamentary session work load generally increases.
...need to be opportunistic and figure out how best can be taken out from this job. Theres no incentives or salary components provided.. salary structure is a disadvantage here (if you are employed on contractual basis). You may have to work with people double of your age with no zeal to work in life as theres a mix of young and old aged staff and one tend to get similar attitude. theres no strict work allocation . In the absence of another employee, your senior may shift other work to you as well (Which need to be resisted). Theres very family type vibes.
Job security, Fairly good career growth, innovation, travel and teammates

Compensation is poor, but growth is slow. the work pressure is very low most of the time, i have to work 5-6 hours straight in a day and sometimes i am so bored and feel like i am only waiting to retire
Department was good and long with my Education. I like working style and project implementaion strategy. Deprtment work from ground level with field experiances. From this experiance i get more opportunity in future.
They treat the contractual employees as their pet. No talent only interested in politics. No recognition or acknowledgement for an employees talent, only eager to notice faults. Terrible work culture..The permanent seniors keep on terryfying the employes for kicking them out of their job. Very suspicious ADC .employees feel humiliated under him..single officer is given multiple charge which they arent able to handle. Hence, take down their frustration and incompetency on their subordinates. No fresh ideas neither ready to acknowledge other's ideas. Been assigned to a scheme. Yet donot fully know the nuances of it and doing nothing to overcome the loopholes. They just turn the eyes towards the real farmers and give attention to businessman and traders who can fill their pocket qith commission as well..pathetic culture to work in..because of such officers, people hate govt. Servants.
