What started as a rosy picture turned into a nightmare real soon. -The briefs are changed repeatedly with no inputs entertained from the writer's end. You are expected to deliver on a super-tight schedule, keeping pace with unexpected changes at the last moment. -There is such an inhumane level of micromanagement that the Team Lead expects you to reply instantaneously in under 3 minutes or so. Failing to do so would invite never-ending rants filled with personal remarks and judgment. - Their leave policy doesn't grant leaves in the probation period. You are expected to show up Monday to Saturday, even in sickness or other critical situations. They sanction leaves like you owe them your entire existence, they keep on reminding it. Pathetic. - Very toxic work culture that doesn't encourage dialogue or positive criticism.

In the beginning, it was great under the leadership of a certain head of our department. I learned a lot about running a team and working through my writing. I enjoyed going to work every day.

Dislikes

But suddenly, without prior notice, our department merged with another department in the company and our work timings became bizarre. I had to wake up very early in the morning and work past the allotted time. And even after I logged out, I had to prepare for my job for the next day. We had to go through orientation again and anyone who questioned this sudden shift in timing during the meeting was silenced without any proper explanation. I lost my sleep, couldn't eat properly and soon enough, I had to leave of my own volition. What started out as a pleasant experience became a scar at the end. I had to take time to recover.

Dislikes

Misbehaviour by many editors. Team lead will be mad if you are even 15mins late for your shift but editors will pester you even after your shift is long over. Many rude co-workers. You may not get assisted properly during training and they won't really listen to your side of it. They terminate employment without prior notice.

- Never got a raise in 2 years - Management is toxic - They don't hire enough people, and overwork the ones present, piling on more work - They mismanaged a PoSH complaint. The accused wasn't even suspended when the inquiry was going on, leaving people feeling really unsafe
