No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

Sales department revolves around 3 seniors only. Some are taking free salary without any work and take more incentives. Incentive structure is very poor. The senior who work less gets more incentives and benefits. No work life balance no leaves. Seniors like CH only do timepass and finding others mistakes. Taking huge amount of salary and no productive work. Company expect sales people should do all work with heavy work load. And some seniors have zero work load.

Dislikes

I strongly advise against joining the **Sales team at Manav Group**. The work environment is extremely unprofessional, and the management, especially senior members, display very poor behavior. They often engage in personal conversations, browse social media all day, and rarely contribute anything productive. There's a clear culture of **favoritism** – those who flatter the seniors get all the benefits and are excused for their mistakes, while others are constantly targeted and blamed, even for small issues. Constructive feedback and fair leadership are completely missing. What’s more concerning is that some people in senior positions lack even the basic knowledge or background required for the role – they seem to be there just because of their long association with the company, not because of competence or merit. If you're considering a career in sales, I would strongly **recommend avoiding this company**. It may end up being a frustrating and demotivating experience.

1. Un-necessary Dominant behavior from Seniors. 2. Public Humiliation by seniors. 3. Unauthorized interference in other departments' internal affairs. 4. Loud gossiping about employees personal life, accompanied by taunting. 5. Consistent disrespect and unprofessional conduct. 6. Targeted harassments of the employee who disagree or spoke up. 7. Unprofessional behavior from two senior sales personnel, including loud conversation and disruptive laughter causing negative impact on productivity and team morale. 8. I highly recombed avoiding to join the sales team here. The other department are good comparatively, but the sales team is particularly poor.
