...end more years in company. Appraisal process is most cumbersome and mischievous. Same employees working unde same boss mostly get good ratings and salary increments. The biggest problem in company is getting work done from related SBU i.e project lead will assign engineering work to related Larsen toubro company and construction work to related lnt company. Each and every related company has different goals to maximize profits which inherently delays projects timeline and exclates Project cost. People get increments after 3 years and combined rating of 3 years is taken to promote or give salary increments. HR proposely decreases ratings in last year of appraisal to provide less benefits to employee even if your boss has rated good you. Employees overall package has one component as Retention pay which is payed at completion of one year. I would prefer people to join other organization where long term perspective is good to keep you going.
