The authority is open to development Kolkata metropolitan area finance by world bank more than four thousand employee. I love the fact that I am a part of of team for development work. Authority works completed development .in Kolkata and other 42 municipal area. We are working with the team happily.so many engineers goes abroad like UK, USA but I don't chance to go abroad.

Compensation is decent. The work pressure is very high, some times I have to work 15 to 18 hours straight in a day I do receive appreciation from government of West Bengal. There is on job training in side India and abroad. Senior officer always guide steps by step.

The KMDA is a government undertaking organisation hence different types of works are practised there right from water supply water treatment sewerage, sewage treatment, solid waste management, roads and bridges, housing sector, electrical and mechanical sector, assets management etc. There is ample of scope to work in different aspects of engineering.

I think myself to be privileged that I started my professional career in the capacity of Asstt.Engr.& retired as Chief Engr.after 36yrs. In one word, I just loved the job without which I could'nt have continued till retirement.
