Officer Level entry is Good. Pay and Allowances are the only motivation here. It purely depends on what trade your are working. SSC Officers are the best leaders who some how allow the Sailors growth.
Other Than self ,Families fell safer, have a Better community for living when get quarters.
military atmosphere is boon and bone childrens.
I don't suggest joining as Sailors.
Still British era rules and treatment.

Good work environment and culture.Teamates are supportive and the management is transperant.company policies are gud. canteen also very usefull for employees.
There is a lot of references and the management doesn't adress our issues.salary is low and career growth is also slow. On the job training is not given to the new joiners. Entering process of the company is worst. That work is not helpfull for me.

There is a lot of politics and the management doesn't address our issues.salary is decent but carrer growth is slow there is a bond of 2 years before which you cannot resign. On the job training is not given to new joiners.

The work culture in Indian Navy and for that matter in the Armed forces is the best. The officers and sailors in your unit whether senior or junior would always watch your back and support you and your family when in need.
Similarly, lifestyle in Armed forces is royal and you cannot enjoy the same in the civil world without paying a hefty price. In addition, being in the Indian Navy one can always get an opportunity to stay in the big cities like Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, Kochi, Panaji (Goa) and New Delhi.
The perks and benefits like free travel once in a year and rest at 50% rate, free medical facilities, best quality education for children at nominal rates, canteen facilities are a few among many others being taken care by the Navy.
Despite being the best services in terms of work culture, management, organizational policies, compensation and benefits the career in Indian Navy doesn't provide job security. If a person joins the officer cadre as short service commissioned (SSC) officer in Executive branch he/she is not provided with an opportunity to take permanent commission post completion of short service tenure even on the basis of vacancy or performance.
The minimum short service tenure in the Indian Navy and in all branches of Armed forces is ten years which can be extended up to fourteen years. With no opportunity available to an SSC officer from Executive branch to take on permanent commission, he/she is compelled to retire after ten or fourteen years of service without any pensionary benefits to fend for himself/herself and family.
