...lance. Manager asks you to work from morning 9 till night 12 for several months. No extra or over time pay. Very less holidays. You do not get recognised. Biased peoples. No job security. After working for one year they are asking me to resign forcefully. Very toxic work culture.

... going to be the most honest and detailed review so please read it thoroghly* 1. On time Salary 2. Great CEO (which doesn't really matter on project level but 10/10 people in org would say the the same about CEO) 3. Good for freshers 4. Some projects are really good and profitable 5. No layoffs in normal scenarios 6. Good place for gamblers as getting a positive experience here is a 35-65 gamble. (The project you get assigned to)

I have worked here for more than two n half years and have analyzed this place top to bottom. I can assure you the Pros listed above are the only actual pros you will find here. Now Cons which are mostly based on my Project for a UK client. 1. Bad Management on org as well as team level. Agile is just a word here that they think they are following(even they know they are no where close). 2. Root of all evil: Worst hiring process and people behind hiring new talent. I dont know how but somehow all the people who get hired are worse than the ones they are replacing. 8/10 people who get hired are the type of people who got filtered out of all other places. They lack skill, basic english speaking and communication skills and if not all are toxic. There is fair share of nepotism in the organization for senior positions, no matter how bad some specific people are, no one can do any thing to curb the problem. they just have to live with it. Even their own managers. 3. Managers getting hired are micro managers even good managers will transition into this culture. 4. Most of the Projects are in a really worst condition. 5. Most Tech Leads dont know what they are doing, lack any technical skills and correct variable and function names in the name of PR review. Tech Leads dont consider themselves tech leads but manager who can only assign tasks to developers. Ask them one technical question and they will divert it to another developer. Some are politicians who chose the wrong career paths. Consider this review for a particular Project within the Org. You might get a good project with good people but then again thats a gamble (remember the hiring issue?). 6. Org level Management is very bad, even after knowing the issues they fail to address it, forget about curbing it. HR are almost useless and have no say in company policy (apart from the generic paperworks and events all the time). Everything is decided by some top leaders. 7. Your appraisals will be entirely based on your project's state and literally 0% weightage will be given to your individual performance. I have seen people get good increments in good projects doing nothing and also people getting appraisal half of the annual inflation rates who did so much for the well being of the project and were highly skilled. 8. They will make the Separation process messy. CEO is a great visionary and I feel sad for him that the org he wished for is degraded because of the people under it. CEO doesn't make a company successful but the employees do. My Advice to people who are planning to join Impelsys: I would not say don't join this org or anything like that BUT do your due diligence. Ask questions to HR about every policy (go in depth on any bonuses or variable pays you might have, they do a lot of word play, and TAKE EVERYTHING IN WRITTEN, dont take words for a single point, you will thank me later on this). Ask for the specific Project you will be assigned to and ask the employees (preferably ex-employees) who have worked on that project about the people and project state. If you liked this review give it a upvote so it reaches the right audience. these are all my personal opinions but i can guarantee that most of the employees will not deny a single point listed here.

The company is open to innovation with Hackathons and other side projects. They also can incubate if the product is good enough. A lot of experienced people as mentors to help in the go. The culture is good and the retention is good. There have been people working since 15 years and more.

Compensation is decent, but the extra benefits are not much encouraged e.g. Professional tooling, development experience, etc. But this can be improved if management invests more on these terms.

At the end of the day, we all work for money. Unfortunately, there’s no proper salary hike here. If you’re planning to join, make sure to negotiate for a high package upfront. Don’t expect significant hikes or promotions later. Growth opportunities are mostly reserved for those who are close to the managers
