A. If you are reporting to a wrong manager, you will literally have sleepless nights. Few managers in India follow Ikea values and those who do not are at an extreme end of toxicity. Nordic companies are reputed to have an excellent culture and wlb, the Indian managers have surely ruined the first. B. People don't have enough work and mostly do coffee badging and needless to say they circle around their Indian managers discussing topics that are not fit for a professional space. C. Sadly, PnC / HR is just a puppet. D. Inspite of having great overseas coworkers and lot of learning platforms and other perks, staying away from a place where toxicity is at its peak and promotions are granted often to incompetent people is best for long term. For short term, it is still fine.

The company doesn’t allow there employees to grow based on there caliber and talents. All they wanted is to bring Micro management and IKEA is all about favouritism it so sad that they build there successor who are the pets of there leaders or managers. Talents and qualification is only a matter of paper works, the only thing which works to grow with IKEA is to serve your managers better to go to a higher post or grow internally.

Not all architects and interior designers would enjoy this job. Too much styling and less design. Nothing much to design as all the guidelines and even mood boards along with products come as a guideline from global team. Good to start working here for the brand name and values but with time moving out to explore the design world would be needed for a few designers.
