Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

AAs are treated like daily wagers here. They get respect only from the faculty members but other staff and esp HR treats them very badly.. no respect, it's a contractual job so no job safety. If u are not planning to do PhD then don't join this role in IIM. This will spoil your profile so badly that u will be stuck with nothing.

Work Life balance is awesome. You can spend time with your family. Leaves are good. Learning is good because you will learn all the government related rules regulations.

Dislikes

No power for assistant manager here. No term insurance. No promotion on contract employee.
