The best thing about ICICI Bank is Job security even at lower managerial levels . In Pandemic the bank supported its employees very well without any salary cut or lay offs. Good place to groom yourself as a beginner in early stage of your career . Lots of benefits are there in middle management & senior management as pay structure is good and other perks are good.

There are issues in handling workforce at lower managerial levels as nepotism & favourism is at peak . Internal politics and backstabbing is also there . Overall work culture is not good . The lower management employees are not paid well also as compared to benefits provided to other managerial levels.

Work life balance is there if you are a Virtual RM. Salary is below average as compared to posh cities where cost of living is high like Bangalore. HR policies is good. Fresher should take a chance to learn and embibe in the field. Coming to promotion it is by default your years of experience and expertise in the domain.

Thank God for centralized appraisals, otherwise one wouldn't get a dime! The company culture is deteriorating with every passing minute. You won't get to learn new things unless the hierarchy sees their own benefit in it. Favourism and partiality goes hand in hand and at a peak level.

I like most the company culture and training programme of the bank.

Dislikes

Salary is not meeting the inflation and that to be in a big city like hyderabad. There is no connection between the post of deputy manager and the role in bank.

...look you as a Human. Even in this century those people see Caste and Religion. Only the Salary part is good other than that nothing. No Work life balance. Have to work for 12 hours daily. Though there are not much work you will be asked to sit until your senior tells you to go home. They will just change your role without your consent and ask you to move to other departments.
