Work culture is really bad. There is no scope of learning and adding your inputs in the organization because of rigidity in upper management. Poor Work timings. Very less scope for any innovating ideas.

Multicultural environment and exposure

People. If you’re a South Indian you’re finished. Day 1 in my intro call they talked about this in open forum and said let’s see how long he will hold. 3rd month my boss called me and said get out. Very hostile working environment based on ethnicity. In policy everything will be shining, under the surface everyone is an animal. Just because you’re working for an institution with nice words on paper, you can’t change the character of a person. It actually aggravates. Sadly I spent my 6 months to realise this. They’ll lynch you. I still have trauma from that.

I have been with ICF for 7 years and witnessed a little bit of everything in the IT industry. ICF acquired a lot of companies in this duration and we were able to transition with each company acquired smoothly. My job security was never a concern despite multiple management changes in the past. Skill development is a mandate as we need to serve the clients with up-to-date solutions. Company policies are flexible and employee supportive and the management is very understanding as well. I have enjoyed my 7 years tenure by learning and working with such big brands that make us all proud.

Dislikes

A lot has changed since I started 7 years ago and as every company evolves with time, all the challenges and hardships are now being tackled and it is a great place to work. Free transport has always been an ask of few employees especially when working hours get extended sometimes. Maybe that would be the icing on the cake.

Nothing to dislike - We haven't been doing a lot of automation work in QA, which is what we are focussing on this year. So in a way, it's an opportunity for everyone to upskill themselves. There is no work politics here, and it's a pretty open culture.
