...t i want to highlight that IBM is very GOOD Company, ONLY THE MANAGER ARE WORST. MANAGERS SPOIL THE WHOLE PROJECT AND TRY TO SAVE-GUARD THEIR SEATS TO GET ONLY SALARY. NEVER BOTHER OF THEIR TEAM MEMBER OR TO INCREATE THE TEAM SIZE TO GET REVENUE FOR IBM. very bad.

IBM IS GOOD, BUT THE MANAGERS ARE WORST, THEY WILL MAKE CONVINCE YOU INSUCH A WAY THAT THEY WANT TO SAFEGUARD THEIR SEAT. I FACED A WORST SITUATION IN IBM WITH MANAGERS. My name got added in Layoff list and i got informed that i will be terminated any time and manager informed me to search job outside. After their instruction, i searched and got the offer letter with 50% hike and when i try to request for relive me earlier (since my name is already added in layout offlist). Now Manager created a HR-LOCK SYSTEM through i cant get release from the project and resigation. this HR-LOCK TERM i hearly newly, when i sent mutiple emails to HR team, they telling they dont know how it created and they cant resolve it. Manager telling the tools issue, you cant releave from the project and cant apply resignation. But i dont understand that how they told me that my name is added in layoff list and search job outside. then i understood their real picture after 45days that my HR-lock got released after 45days, then releaved from the project. Then i understood that Now mapping with my earlier new offer letter with 50% hike, Manager dont like me to move out the company with 50% hike to other company. Manager want to leave the company and wants me get suffer outside by roaming. Very bad intention. Worst manager intention, Many managers in IBM doing the same. Even i cleared internal Abroad oppertunity, Manager of earlier dept sent email seperately to cancel the abroad oppertunity should not be provided to me. Very worst culture.

Salary is good, but there is less hike.

Management is very very bad. It is a manager driven company you have to keep happy always your manager, There are some Bengali people are in top management and they are doing politics. Job security is not there, even manager is telling to put resignation.

Overall it's a good company to work for. It is totally employee centric. The best thing about IBM is its flexibility i.e. choose whether to work from office or home. Work life balance depends upon the project. IBM provides ample resources to re skill and align yourself to the market standards

The work culture is excellent, employee friendly. Maintains work life balance so efficiently and management is also supportive. The company policies are also good.

Dislikes

Salary is decent for new joiners but for old employees it is not so good and used to get very less increment and also less opportunity for career growth.

Health Insurance premium is high for self and spouse and parents premium is too hike, No hike, no bonus, no promotion for years, Language based bais, Non-Hindi folks not treated good, people manager and project manager holds all HR has value.
