1) There is hardly any development work in India. All the good work and projects are done in US 2) The work life balance is horrible. Most of the work needs to be approved by US teams, so I had to keep on coordinating with US members at their working out even after working all day. 3) IBM can move you internally in any teams at their wish any time irrespective of the time zones and the profile. I was hired as a Developer, but was moved in 4 different teams in an year from each with different profile like manual testing, automated testing, systems management. 4) The quality of work is very unsatisfactory.

...trictly enforced. No fixed hours to spend in office, that depends between teams. promotions and pay cycles depends on your importance and how good the team is doing in the organisation. managers are helpful and respectful towards employees in general. one have scope and opportunity to grow skills, contribute to open source, blogs, disclosures.

Dislikes

Internal movement between teams is almost always a fight. Often people are made to work in mixed bag of tasks/technologies, that might make one a jack of all trades and makes specialisation in one/some skillset go away.

Medical insurance and other benefits are average. No cab facility for us . Most of team members reporting that they have less work life balance and additional working hours.

No doubt working with prestigious organisation like IBM is a eye catcher. Company will force you to learn anytime. So you will learn a lot through, learning assignment , free premium udemy, wfh facility.

Dislikes

Only Salary. What you get at the time of joining , will be fixed. No increment in any manner. There is no standard to that. So make sure ,you ask higher. They will deny on this but it is true. It is not Limited to me having 3 yrs in IBM but others who has 7 years too has the same issue.

IBM is really good company to work for, better work life balance, work culture, work satisfaction, transparency, team building activities and learning support everything is good.

Low salary increments and promotions are hard to get.
