Salary was on-time.

Extreme Micromanagement and exploitative labor practices.The managers manage to act well, and don't really advocate for you, in front of client. Bunch of incompetent folks, who don't even know how to speak/write good english. The M.O seems to be bringing cheap labor from India, for key roles and make them rule over their subordinates. Filled with folks from Telugu and Tamil speaking community, who form nexus and forever fight amongst themselves, and cause issues for other, well meaning employees. Wait, this seems to be the formula for any of the major Indian IT services companies....who am I kidding then? Avoid at all costs. It will only ruin your long term career prospects.

Being a big brand in IT industry, it's not a good company for long term. No promotions, No appraisals, very less opportunities for onsite which are reserved for non desr

No promotions,, no appraisals, variable pay deductions, onsite opportunity for selected people only, no allowances, policies are not employee friendly.

Dislikes

No guarantee of promotion, very little hike or no hike, almost zero employee benefits (except medical), very difficult to get even small things like stationeries, printout, micro management.

Job security at HCL is generally stable. Work-life balance, however, largely depends on the project, client, and manager.

Dislikes

HCL offers stable job security; however, career growth opportunities, including promotions, rewards, and salary increments, are limited. Working harder or more dedicatedly often results in being assigned additional responsibilities rather than receiving recognition through salary increases or promotions.

For learning and experience this is good company.

Dislikes

Negligible appraisal. No promotions . There is no standard of giving salary. Junior employee in same team with lower band could have higher salary than senior with upper band. They do not give any goodies on Diwali/new year. They do not give any money on referrals. Just the extra miles points.
