There is no standard of giving salary. Junior employee in same team with lower band could have higher salary than senior with upper band.
They do not give any goodies on Diwali/new year.
They do not give any money on referrals. Just the extra miles points.
In HCL salary breakup is a biggest scam. Because if you are joining company with 15 LPA, your take home will be around 95K. Remaining 30k is not assured to return to you. So please dont join HCL if your family is fully depends only on your salary.
Appraisal cycle is not good, we can expect anything after doing lot of hard work for whole year

I like the IT environment since I am from Mechanical Engineering background.
Dislikes
...y members, caste, favouritism for Managers, Business Department Unit heads, etc.
No regulated salary packages. example: new Joinee (either IT or Non-IT) receives more than 5-7LPA, but experienced person (Non-IT) receives less than 7 LPA even the employee was loyal to the team & organisation.
...n client location and close the contract in short notice once everything is set.
Never allow to be a FT employee to their clients
Deduce the variable pay and put huge amount in variable pay, something around 16 to 17 percentage.
