... variable correctly, even if you are hardworking and an excellent team player. They cut some percentage of your variable pay and raise your salary approximately that much only. I dislike the work culture, the leadership, strategy of the product division, salary, benefits. Engineering leadership who got promoted to key roles do nothing but freeriding. Just a bunch of ego filled leadership with absolute lack of common sense in running any vertical.

No one bothers you so you can freely concentrate on your work. But that comes at a price.

Dislikes

If you are not "proactive" you lose your variable pay. It does not matter how much value you deliver to the client. Also, there is no paid leave in HCL. The EPB policy makes sure you lose 3 days of EPB if you avail 1 day of "paid leave".

The ever leading topic of notice period

I am working currently as a team lead for hcl and since idiotically I didn't switch any companies from start 2019 till now, I have a measly ctc of 4.3 lpa. I got an offer accepting 8lpa , but they are demanding to join in 15 days. And hcltech, being the company it is, is having 90 days notice period, negotiable to 60 days only. Initial negotiation with my current manager and the new company hr didn't go over that well, I am in a bind now. Any suggestions?
