...t take your assigned leaves The idea of monthly presentation is a waste of time. Working hours are not fix you have to stay here after 10 at night also They will cut your half day salary if you are late but doesn't pay a single rupee for overtime

GBRC indeed speeds up skill development and develops research aptitude. spending a year in GBRC may help you survive in any corner of the world or galaxy.

Dislikes

1. writing daily report (a lot of people just boast about their LIL work in daily report) 2. strict punch in and punch out timings don't suit as research can not be time-bound 3. having to provide monthly data presentation is worst out of all (no scientific inputs from even scientists, they only butter-polish directors) 4. you will be promoted only if you work 12 hrs a day OR YOU HAVE POLITICAL/INDUSTRIAL connection (ie., your parents have connections in AYUSH - you will get EXCELLENT in your annual report, your parents are businessmen (rich) and connected politically, high chances you may be SRF RA or Scientist within 2-3 years of span) 5. PATRIARCHY is the major problem that you can face as a female JRF (scientists love having fun conversations with boys and not giving a damn to girls having any scientific doubts), actually a lot of issues faced by JRFs are created because scientists in order to save their permanent position speak mindlessly to director, leaving JRFs and SRFs (if you get lucky enough to be SRF) to get bullied and torture, especially in bioinformatics and GC-MS lab. 6. huge amount of bias on who gets how many leaves 7. CRAZY HUGE amount of bias on who gets monthly rewards (only favourite people get these awards, check their linkedin page and you will instantly know few people) 8. there are two types of people - one who overwork and others who underwork, the former category is constantly resigning for their efforts not being acknowledged)

Even after working extra hours almost everyday, its difficult to get the leave without giving explainations nd justifications when required

Worst culture I have ever seen. There is no sence how to talk & behaviour with employees sepcially with ladies employees by Higher position.Too much toxic atmosphere.
